First we had the back cover copy, and now... drum roll... MY COVER!!! I have to admit, I am just bouncing around about this like a little maniac. It's a dream come true, and I think they did a fabulous job with it! Let me know what you think.
Wow, Deidre. I love this cover. Of course, what female wouldn't love the...ahem, well-defined ab's? But the woman's eyes staring out drew my attention in a big way. Not distracting, though, more of a mezmerizing effect. Major congratulations!
Wow is right! I love this cover, too! The gorgeous male torso, the intruging woman's face, the fabulous golden color. I like everything about it. Definitely a winning cover, and a fabulous way to launch your debut book. WTG!
I'm not usually one for yellow covers, but this golden... wow. I GASPED when i saw it. Ahem. allow me, for a moment, to steal a little Edgar Allan Poe and wax breathlessly over your molten-golden cover...
The abs are nice, but honestly, I'd pick it up just because of those eyes. Don't they make you feel like you've GOT to have this book? Totally hypnotic....
Whoa! Major ab action. Why is he holding his hand like that? . . . Oooh, mysterious tattoo. That HAS to be significant to the story. Maybe it's the key to the parallel factor . . . EEEP. There are EYES above that title. She looks like she knows something. He may be a sculpted bod, but she's deep.
Yeah. So, that's how it happened in one brain. Also love the golden color, Deidre. This will look lovely framed next to your circus-style print in your yellow house. :)
The eyes in the background are what held my attention. I couldn't tell if she was a villain or not and it would definitely make me turn the book over to read the back.
My very first reaction was "WHICH is the dream come true--the overall cover, or the beefcake?" :) Then it almost exactly followed Jeanne's.
I'm really looking forward to this book. It looks like it combines some of my favorite elements with some of my old favorites that got overdone and cliched, making them fresh and exciting again!
Deidre, the cover is beautiful and congratulations on getting published. How fantastic--knew you had it in you all along--remember you way back when and all that jazz and am, accordingly, jealous!!! So . . . I don't suppose a perk of being the author of such a lusciously covered book is that you get to meet the model, eh??
Congrats Deidre! I too saw the abs, saw the tattoo, and then saw the eyes. It immediately put me in mind of the cover my high school copy of "The Great Gatsby" had. Here's what I'm talking about: Eyes Cover
This is fabulous! I love the colors. Very eyecatching. I remember how I felt when I saw my first cover.... Okay, it was for nonfiction, but I loved it:) Though I loved my daytripping(second non fic) even more. I can't wait to see a fiction book with my name on it... you must be through the roof:) Teri

Deidre, that's gorgeous! Bounce away, my dear. This cover merits it.
I can't wait to read it, either.
Gorgeous!! That will look wonderful on the shelves!!

Gorgeous.
Great cover, Deidre. :)
Very cool. Looks like you were a winner in the cover art game of roulette!
WOW. Hope they throw in a poster-size copy for framing!
Question--Can anyone tell me how to get a photo beside my post? I know it's probably something simple, but I can't figure it out.
Thanks,
Cathy
I'm thinking that's definitely a lickable set of abs.....
Seriously, gorgeous cover, D!
I love the golden color!
It is a GREAT cover and I cannot wait to read the book! It's on my Must Buy list!!!
*sigh* Love it.

You guys totally rock! And Amy Garvey, it's SO great to see you posting here.
I have to say, I just love it. The eyes are probably my favorite part, but the guy is very dreamy too! THe color...everything about it just rocks.
My reaction as it unfolded:

Congrats Deidre!
I want that man. BIG congratulations, Deidre!
This is absolutely beautiful. I'd buy it based on the cover alone.
My very first reaction was "WHICH is the dream come true--the overall cover, or the beefcake?" :) Then it almost exactly followed Jeanne's.

I'll just say it again:

Amazing cover!
It's going to look great on the store shelves. No, make that flying off them.
Wow, Deidre...that's HOT. It's gonna fly off the shelves, I'm sure. Can't wait to get a sizzling one in my paws!
Marley = )
Nice cover! I think the eyes are the highlight. Definitely hypnotic. Of course, the abs help. :-)

How exciting, Deidre! The cover is gorgeous! There's so many little details in it. Very nice.

A cover I could look at for years.
