I Have Deviants to See and a Novel to Finish!

So watching TEN THINGS I HATE ABOUT YOU (been a long time, and Heath Ledger really should go on my hottie hall of fame over on my parallel blog.) Anyway, anyone remember the guidance counselor? Ms. Perky, and she's working on the romance novel while she makes Heath Ledger's character wait? :) I had to snort seeing that scene again, especially when she dismisses Heath/Patrick with the line, "I have deviants to see and a novel to finish!"

Some days, don't we feel just like that??

I love the scene with Julia Stiles..."what's another word for..."

I've always wanted to (but haven't) freeze-framed through that scene to see what romance titles are on the shelves.

Gina, you know what blew my mind? That the movie only had one and a half stars on the cable rating. It's such a cute film, that really surprised me.

"Top 10 Things I Hate..." is in my Top 10 teen movies of all time. Love Julia Stiles. Smart, talented, not a classic beauty but she works it. ANd yeah, loved Allison Janney's character.

1-1/2 stars? Maybe your cable company should remove head from sphincter (OMG did *I* say that??)

I love that film. Have I, perchance shown you that picture of you-know-who that looks exactly like HL?

I love that movie. And she's such a hilarious example of the working romance writer! Can't believe it got 1.5 stars, it's a brilliant adaptation of Taming Of The Shrew.

What an awesome quote, and so representative of my week!

Deidre, I just finished Parallel Attraction. You did an oustanding job of balancing world building with fingernail biting suspense.

I loved reading it.

The one a half stars was just the stupidest thing I've ever seen. I gaped. Literally. :)

That was a great movie. That woman went on to be the press secty on West Wing, right? She's was great in that role.

Nice blog, Deidre. :)

Oh my! I teach and write romance, so a lot of my friends tease that the teacher is me in that movie. I sneak my computer in my classroom during my planning period from time to time...

I loved that movie.
