Thanks heaps, D. I will now be spending the rest of the weekend thinking about neon orange vests, cubic yards, backhoes, streetmaps, amber lights, blue roofs, and credit chits.
Aiming to please! :) Sorry about that, darling. It's such a relief to me to look at these pictures and realize that life has gone on (we had wicked storms here today, which was part of what put it in my mind.)That was about a 200 year old pecan tree that narrowly missed taking off the entire back of my house--or killing all of us since it was right outside my bedroom window.
We don't get horrid storms like that. Just raging forest fires. The last three summers have seen the FFs in residential areas, too--a tragedy. Too much "bug kill" in the province (standing dead trees killed by bugs that haven't been harvested; one cigarette dropped out of a car window can take out half a community--and has).

It's a beautiful house. Scary to realize the kind of damage bad storms can cause.
Beautiful house, Deidre.
