Blogshares

In the realm of how bizarre is this? Comes Blogshares. I’ve been meaning to post this for a few days after discovering that my blog—as well as many of the others represented around here—has been indexed for mock trading. Anyone seen this yet? Apparently my share value has gone up even since I discovered this little piece of cyber-real estate the other day.

Maybe we should form a cyber investment club and do some insider trading, what do you say? Would they have to throw us in cyber prison where in Martha-style penance we’d be forced to tutor inmates on good writing? I can visualize it now…

Deidre Knight escorted into prison with a desperate, forced smile, Chicago Manual of Style tucked in one hand, blackberry in the other. Things turn brutal when, unexpectedly, the blackberry is seized. “No! Not my Internet! I won’t leave the matrix!” she shouts. Guards circle like wolves, “We submitted our Idiots Guide to the Penal System last year,” they hiss. “You rejected us! Rejected!”

Echoing into the howling prison yard is just one word, over and over like her worst nightmare: rejected. Rejected. Rejected….

It was going to be an eternal six months in cyber prison.

So....let's figure out how to increase our value. Legally, of course.

Okay, that's just weird. I can't help but wonder what the purpose is?

Argh, Jaci, it won't let me cut and paste your link. We should drive up your volume big time. How do they determine this, I wonder?? It's too bizarre. I think we should inside trade.

How's the writing going for you today? I've reached brain fugue state. I don't even know how many pages I've gotten b/c I'm filling in on partial things all over the place. I'm about to wrap up a 13 page chapter (hopefully) tonight.

Urgh. I should know that whole html thing to make the link short, but I'm so inept at that kind of stuff.

Writing went well. Only 8 pages, but I finished a chapter and it was a sex chapter, which takes oh so much longer to write than standard plot (at least for me). Then I was waylaid by my 16 year old daughter who wanted to discuss fashion. Oh I'm so easy..mention shoes and I'm a goner *g*

Sounds like you made great progress today! I'm hoping to hit a little bit more tonight if I can dredge up a few more creative brain cells, though I might have left them all at Wal-Mart ;)

Does Blogshares deal only in sites hosted by Blogger? From the short amount of time I spent trying to decipher it's purpose/scope, it appears to.

I've never heard of it before. Bizarre indeed!

Don't go to prison, Deidre. We would all miss you! (Your scenario made me laugh, though. 50 points!)

Jeanne, I believe you may have solved it. Perhaps it's a giant publicity device started by blogger? ha.

The plot has been revealed LOL }:) That does sound strange. Although it sounds like Deidre and Jaci got some good writing in today :)

That sounds so strange. I'm not sure what they're going to get out of it. Well, I suppose if they can get people to sign up for the $15.00 that could add up quickly. Hmm...maybe I should brainstorm a service. $-)

Wow, Deidre, thanks for making me aware of this. And I can definitely say it's not just Blogger blogs, my Bravejournal is respresented there, too. How wild!
