Your flowers are beautiful, Deidre. My mother and youngest sister are fantastic gardeners. I have a very brown thumb. I've heard you need to water these things to make them grow...now only if tapping on computer keys made them grow...
I love hydrangeas, and yours are beautiful, D! You live in a wonderfully lovely spot!
I have a brown thumb, too, Cindy, so don't feel bad. Give me a plant that "can't be killed" and I will kill it in a week. So sad. My mind must have a brain-block when it comes to watering things. :-( Shannon
Let it be known, ladies, that Deidre has a black thumb, and that I basically have no thumb at all when it comes to plants. The only thumb that matters, though, is the one that pulls up the next available check to pay our lawn guy, Bruce, to whom we give all the credit for the beauty of those hydrangeas. Actually, some credit should go to the previous owners of the house, who planted these and other flowers, and of course--without getting too metaphysical--perhaps the greatest credit belongs to the One who brought the flowers into being in the first place. As for us, we just live here and enjoy the scenery.

Ahem. Honey, I wasn't going to admit that I didn't GROW those wonderful flowers! :) Okay. Truth is out. I have the BLACKEST thumb of all time. There.
Ahhh, the lawn guy, Bruce. I've promised my little sister that when I'm rich and famous, I'll hire her to do my gardening. She's fantastic.
